russ always will be the the soul survivor!

What did you think of this season of survivor?
What have you learned by watching this show?
Why is this show valuable for psychology class (or is it not?)
What did you think of the reunion show?

this season had to have been the best season in the history of the show. i dont see how it could have been any better than this one, or how it could get any better. ive learned the best way to loose 20 pounds in a month is to eat bugs and put up with a squad load of people who are out to get you. ive also learned peoples personalities need adjusting in times of desperation. no matter how many times my mom says survivor isnt valuable to our osychology class, i can tell her what color her personality is- much like someone else on the show. i can also tell her that her alterego would be that of someone on the show and i could just school her on so many things relating to her that coorespond to a competitor on survivor. so yes it is valuable :) and the reunion show MADE ME SOOOO MAD. russ shouldnt have ot bribe someone to call him the soul survivor. he should know that he is the true survivor. how many people can screw person after person over whitout ANYONE BEING SUSPICIOUS?! he was a conartist if i ever saw him, and he is a lovable one at that. i loved mick from day one, but it was because he was assigined to me. if i had a choice to get him off the first time i saw he was slacking & just relying on his athletic intelligence instead of getting mentally into the game, i would have given him the boot. but i couldnt. & he stayed. russ is the soul survivor, he can keep him 10,000$. ill get it tattooed on my forehead if i have to.

RIP SAMOA

The final tribal council i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. everyone pointed out that mick had been voted a leader for no reason and throughout this whole season he refused to defend his title as tribe leader and used his title as a defense mecanism. Russell told the truth, he was there to play the game. true he didnt need the money, he used survivor as a hobbie. Natile's speech was a heartfelt one, everyone knew she ment what she said...except shambo.... Eric's speech was the best by far, Jaison's was quite funny. But Shambos speech, by far, was my favorite. she was 10000000% right about everything she said. Natile road coat tails, and mick was just..well there... For the most part im glad nat won because she's a girl. and because she was the underdog through out the whole game. the jury felt betrayed by russell. he screwed everybody over in the end, but that is how you play the game. i would have voted for russ. hands down. i would have done it a milllion times because HE DESERVED IT. he was mentally all for the game, physically DEVOTED to the game. & he was the only one crying at the end. the boy is going to need some serious mental help at the end of this.

heart & brain

you cant let your emotions be tied into this game. you have to keep them out, 100% because when friendships build then you are looking out for them when you need to look out for yourself. real friendships can not build in an environment such as this one. the foa foa tribe was very loyal to themselves, and they should be. they had the odds against them now they are the only ones left, minus brett.

moral dilema

there is no way people can be friends in this game. friends can not develope during a game when everyone is out to get eachother. it would be difficult to vote a friend off, if you considered them to be friends. but if someone is a jerk, it would be a lot easier. promises in this game are ment to be broken, its amazing how low people will stoop for money. people should stay true to their word, but in this game people throw trust around. litterally.

stupid john

i would have spent my money on something like an idol to keep me in the game. becuase with a one million dollar reward i could buy as many burgers or pie as i wanted. a shower would have been nice, but i would have spent everything to win an idol. im a big time sharer, so i deff would have spent money on a pie to regain trust for fellow members. a shared pie is never forgotten. everyone voted him off for being a selfish fathead who doesnt care about anyone else.

what went wrong

they were against eachother while fighting foa foa, a house divided can not stand & that is exactly what happened. galu was divided on so many different choices and their numbers have fallen due to their inability to work with one another

mick's intelligence

Mick is the character who i will eleborate on.
his strongest intelligence areas are intrapersonal, because he knows things he wants while playing this game. he knows his goals that he wants to reach, and he reaches them throughout the game. he is also physically strong and can use his strength to play the game.

both of these strengths are very important inorder to win the game, i believe foa foa will pull through in the long run. they are the ultimate underdogs of this game. it will be everyman for themselves in the end, so they should stop trying to all fool eachother into being friends.

merge

The merge had to have happened, if not FOA FOA would have been destroyed. The games would be more competitive, because its one against one basically. you no longer have a team to back you up, everyone is backed against the wall at this point. Foa Foa still has a shot, they have very strong competitors, and have a great shot at winning this russel has been carrying this team for a long long time.

intelligence

I would go for the things i needed. a win doesn't feed you or keep you warm. Intelligence plays a huge role in this game. people have to use logic and reasoning to figure out who is with them and who is against them. intelligence is very necessary to win the game of survivor. along with many other things like the ability to trick and con people over, you also have to be a good liar. Russel deffinetly has that down pat.

free write

Russel is pulling all the weight in the galu tribe, he doesn't let anyone else work for the tribe.  Shambo is totally taken for granted there too, she didnt get to take part in the reward challenge. Russel thought it would only be fair to not let Shambo stay around because she let the chicken loose, it was not right for him to do that because she works just as hard even harder than everyone else in the tribe.

shambo=goldddddddd

  • The survivor i'm going to write about is Shambo. I think Shambo is a Gold. She wishes her tribe had more routine and order, like the FOA FOA tribe. She compared the welcoming that she got from FOA FOA to the lack of respect that GALU shows her. She really needs specific directions, and to take charge in order succeed in a challange. She works very well when she knows there will be extrinsic rewards.  The tribe she is very unorganized and she does find difficulty in working with the members of her group because she is so much older than them. She does not like the fact that everyone talks about everyone else on the island. She works very hard to be a good member of her tribe

Defense mechanisms

In FOA FOA, everyone has been annoyed with Ben and Ashley. Because they have been losing they are the the team that has the least amounts of teammates. A defense mechanism that was used was regression, by Ben. He was acting very immature when Jasime came to their camp. This mechanism hurt Ben because everyone realized how immature he was acting towards their guest. This episode, Russel manipulated everyone again to work to vote off Ashley. The plan backfired and everyone voted off the person Russel wanted to stay. During Tribal council everyone voted for Ben, except Ben who voted for Ashley. The tribe has to work together if they want to survive in this game.

episode 3

Just a note on the fact that i still love mick, and hate that he isnt a huge part of the foa foa team even though he is the leader. an example of people only using their id is ben. in this episode he was kicked out of the challenge for tripping a competeter. during the night he woke up to start chopping wood for no reason too. this disrupted everyone in their sleep. last but not least, he manipulated everyone into voting betsy off the island when he should have been kicked off. Ben only cared for himself, and that is what this game is about. He will end up going far if he continues to look out for himself and his team.

second impressions

The first episode surprised me to say the least. Mick was actually voted to be the leader of his tribe- FOA FOA. In order to pick the ranking of his team, he had to judge his teammates on looks alone. The way he was judging people worked out well for him. He picked the winning ranking for his team. The prize his team won was flint for fire.  In final analysis, the act of getting into peoples minds plays a huge role in this game as well as psychology. The ability to manipulate people gives someone a huge advantage.

first imprssions

My first impression on my boy Mick Trimmmg was he was a cutie pie.  He looked like someone famous. He is 33 years old. After reading his bio, I noticed that he had some of the same pet peeves as I did.  He is also a funny guy from the looks of his bio.  His chances of winning are very high he is in great physical shape and I believe he will win. He will
be first picked for the teams, and he will win a million dollars. ;)
